Sketch Girl 15

Sketch Girl #15 is now up! Its a fun simple sketch with a fab sponsor!

Phindy's Place is our sponsor. Phindy's Place digital stamps is a new venture for children's book illustrator Philomena O'Neill (aka Phindy). She was sweet enough to give our designers the opportunity to work with one of her newest releases - Easter Joy. I love this stamp and as you can see if became the main feature of my card.

Would you like the chance to win a $10 gift certificate to Phindy's Place? Of course you want to win! To win, all you need to do is play along with Sketch Girl #15! You have until April 14th at 9 pm EST to link up your creation.

I'm having trouble getting a good picture of this card but the top picture shows the colors pretty good and is a great detailed close-up of Phindy's stamp.

Check out the other Sketch Girls and what they've done with Phindy's amazing stamp!

Some Layouts

I'm always quiet at the beginning to the week because school is busy then so I decided to share these two LOs with you. These pics are from last Easter just like the LO I just posted so I thought I would share them with you as well. The are both predominantly Sassafras Lass and feature my cousins with their dogs. A paper and a midterm will keep me bogged down at the beginning of this week but I'm looking forward to a craft show on Thursday and Easter weekend coming up. Plus I'm really excited about the apartment complex we visited today and the possibility that the hunt for a place is almost over.

Bo Bunny Layout Challenge

Bo Bunny issued a layout challenge on Friday for a spring LO. I've had these photos of my cousin since last Easter and it was the perfect challenge to get them scrapped. I combined lots of Bo Bunny paper with some rub-ons, doodling, and gems. I think Jana. the jeep lover in question, will love it.

Basic Grey with CPS

One of my new treats from the LSS was Basic Grey's new Green at Heart papers and stickers. This was perfect for the Basic Grey challenge this week to be inspired by fruit. These colors are very fruity in my opinion. I also used the CPS sketch this week which was super simple but very fun. This weekend we're doing some apartment hunting and I've got some homework but I'm determined to get some crafting done as well.

Simon Says Spring with Glimmer

Last night I made a quick spring themed card, but made it a thanks sentiment because I have quite a stock of simply spring cards. Simon Says Challenge this week asked for spring and glimmer and this is what I've got. I pulled out some Basic Grey Lemonade added some gems and glittered gel pen faux stitching. I hope to get some more crafting done this weekend because I have new goodies from the LSS. I know I need to buy less and make more, but the trip was a gift so I couldn't resist.

Two More Cards

I've been making so many cards lately because I've been on spring break this past week but as of tomorrow I will be back in school mode. Before things slow down on my blog I have two more cards to share with you. First up is another card for the 2S4Y sketch this week. I've used some SEI papers and a tag. It's a simple card but a lot of friends will be graduating with me this year so a stock on congrats cards would be good.

Next up my friend asked if I could make a mother's day card for her over break. I used the Caardvarks challenge of a photo inspiration. The green and white with the butterflies were the main inspiration for me. Unfortunately I didn't get around to posting this in time for the challenge but I hope my friend will like it. Remember to check out my paper flowers blog candy on my sidebar!

SEI Monthly Challenge

SEI issued their monthly challenge to use scraps and items that can be found in a sewing box. I use some scraps from SEI's Penelope's Potpourri and then added stitching and button. This is also perfect for the Pink Elephant challenge to use spring colors and the Pile It On challenge to use pastels.

Happy St. Patty's Day

Happy St Patty's Day everyone! I'm loving the sunshine today and after being out to run errands and have lunch with my aunt and cousins, I wanted to share this card with you. My cousin is proud to be Irish so I'm always sure to make her a St Patty's Day card. I love the Basic Grey Origins line for St. Patty's. This card was made using the Sketch and Stash challenge this week. My Origins paper and stickers have never been used making them perfect for the challenge.

CPS 158

Here is my card for CPS 158 featuring Material Girl from Cosmo Cricket. I love the mannequin paper and using it as a background was the inspiration for this card. Remember to enter my blog candy (link on sidebar) if you'd like some American Crafts paper flowers.

2 Sketches 4 You Card and Bonus Sketch

Its been a long time since I've played with the sketches at 2 Sketches 4 You but I've been seeing people playing along all over and I'm reminded how much I love their sketches. I've created this Garden Variety card for Kazan's sketch this week and this Joy Ride card for Sarah's bonus sketch. As you can see I'm still obsessed with my new Cosmo Cricket collections. I thought I would have a favorite but I find myself reaching for them all evenly. I've yet to try mixing them yet so maybe that's next.

Its finally sunny after days of rain here in NJ so its automatically a lovely day. Hopefully the sun is blessing you where you are as well. If you'd like to win some American Crafts flowers click here.

Card Patterns and Pile It On

I recently received the three newest collections from Cosmo Cricket. So I spent the rainy day crafting with my new goodies. I've used the Material Girl collection with Card Patterns sketch and the Pile It On pastels challenge to make this card. I love this collection more in person than I did while drooling over it online. Tomorrow is a brand new Sketch Girl sketch so I will be back with another card this time from the Joy Ride collection.

Sassafras Lass Mini Cards

Here's some mini cards made for the CARDS blog challenge. Unfortunately they weren't chosen to be spotlighted today but I had fun making them. They were made from the Sassafras Lass Life at the Pole collection. I bought papers and stickers from this winter/holiday line when it first came out but loved it so much I never used it. So I decided that even though these aren't winter cards I was going to use some and this is what I came up with. Recently I won an amazing prize package from Cosmo Cricket that finally arrived. I'm now the proud owner of Garden Variety, Joy Ride, Material Girl, and some Tiny Type stickers. So I'm sure you'll be seeing some Cosmo Cricket creations real soon.

Card Patterns Anniversary Sketch

So I didn't get a chance to finish my card until the evening because I had quite a bit of homework to finish up before the weekend. Which has led to this iffy photo but hopefully I'll get a new one tomorrow when its nice and sunny. GCD Studios is announcing their new DT on Monday as well as some very fun other positions. So with all the excitement I decided to play with some GCD paper and tags. I used the Card Patterns sketch. Its their one year anniversary! I've played along with the blog periodically since the beginning and I must say they have had fabulous designers and sketches. I also decided to pull in the Creative Belli Eyelets challenge. It always feels good to use up some goodies I haven't played with in a awhile.

A Stamped Card

So I'm not always the one to reach for my stamps but Stamp It Week left me inspired to play. So I pulled out some GCD Studios paper and tags as well as Making Memories letter stamps. This card is for the Thank You category of the Olympics of Stamping Challenge.

I used the CPS sketch although my proportions are a bit off. This was also created for the Pink Elephant add some green color challenge. The card had some bold elements and colors and I think the touches of green and green card base ground everything nicely.
